HAPPY PAWS PLATTSMOUTH

Happy Paws was founded in 2009 by a small group of Plattsmouth residents who were passionate about helping animals. Peg Bennet and Kathy Wondra, two of Happy Paws’ founding members donated their time, their homes, their hearts and their wallets to rescuing animals in need. It was through their dedication and inspiration that our non-profit group was born!

Mission

Happy Paws’ mission is to help people and animals through education, support and rescue. We are 100% volunteer run and receive no financial support from local or state entities. Our organization is funded through grants, fundraising and in-kind donations. We rely tremendously on the support from our community and give back through our many community programs, including:

· Low-cost vaccination clinics

· Spay/Neuter vouchers

· Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) services

· Foster Kitten Program

· Community assistance for pet families in need

· Food Pantry

· Volunteer Opportunities
